Kindergarten is such a fun time to teach kids. My youngest is currently in Kindergarten and we have had a great time learning to read. I love creating resources to help teach her, too! Today I have a printable garden themed kindergarten reading book to share with you.
I made this kindergarten reading book for my daughter because we are starting our own garden this week. She is so excited and I thought this would only encourage that excitement. When you can combine things your children love with learning, they will be even more eager to learn it.
We will be focusing on gardening all week long on my site. I have several more fun gardening activities coming up for you, so keep checking back.
Have you heard yet about my new Preschool & Kindergarten Facebook group? I set it up with my friend Erin from Royal Baloo. Each week we are bringing free themed lesson plans to give you ideas for your little learners. Last week we focused on rainbows and this week it is all about gardens! Come join us.
About the Garden Themed Kindergarten Reading Book
This little book is geared to Kindergarten or first grade readers. My kindergarten aged daughter read it with only a little help.
I titled the book I Like My Garden. It has 8 pages, but when printing there are 4 pages on a sheet. It is in full color.
This book is perfect for a springtime or garden theme in kindergarten or preschool, if you want to read it to them.
The books talks about the different things you need to plant a garden, including dirt, seeds and water. It shows different things you can grow in a garden. Kids can learn about how to plant and what can grow in a garden as well as what things come out of a garden (fruits and vegetables!)
