Earth Day is this month, Â so I thought is would be fun to do a twist on one of my popular fraction posts: Fraction Flowers. This time I made some Earth Fractions! This is like a math and geography combination!
This is such a fun Earth Day math activity to do! Â It has fractions from 1 whole to 1/6th. You cut them apart to make fraction pies out of the earth.
What I love about these is that it is also teaching a bit of geography! You have to know what the continents look like to properly build the fractions.
Fraction pies are easy for kids of all ages to assemble. Even my little 3-year-old could recognize and assemble these earth fractions.
