Why Teach Color Words Early?

Color words are some of the first sight words for kids, and they show up often in early reading.

Even though some color words are longer (like yellow or purple), kids can start learning them earlier than you might think—especially when learning is fun and interactive!

Roll a Color Word Game

This activity started with a simple idea from my daughter—she wanted to roll a die and color in the words.

I loved it and turned it into this fun color word game you can use at home or in the classroom!
